KOTOKO HOST HEARTS OF OAK IN FIRST SUPER CLASH


 

The Ghana Premier League schedule for the 2024–25 season has been made public by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Friday, September 6, 2024, is the commencement date; it is 82 days away from the conclusion of the recently concluded 2023–2024 season.

Dreams FC will host FC Samartex 1996 on the road as they begin their Premier League title defense.

Giants Hearts of Oak will host the recently promoted Basake Holy Stars in the Premier League opener, while Asante Kotoko SC will visit Karela United.

The Ghana Premier League's opening day of play promises to be entertaining, with former champions Medeama taking on Accra Lions, the team that finished second the previous season.

Premier League's newest players The inaugural games feature Vision FC hosting Berekum Chelsea, Nsoatreman FC playing Young Apostles at home, Aduana facing Heart of Lions, Gold Stars FC hosting Legon Cities, and Nations FC hosting Bechem United.

Asante Kotoko SC and Accra Hearts of Oak will square off in the first leg of Ghana's Super Clash on Match Day 13 at Baba Yara Stadium. Match Day 30 will see the rematch.

In a series of potentially captivating Brong Ahafo derbies, Nsoatreman FC will face Berekum Chelsea on Match Day 3, Bechem United on Match Day 9, and Aduana Stars on Match Day 11. Football fans are drawn to the Brong Ahafo Regional rivalries, which see Aduana Stars play Bechem United on Match Days 2 and 19, and Berekum Chelsea play Bechem United on Match Day 11.

On MatchDays 4 and 21, Medeama SC and the recently promoted Basake Holy Stars will square off in their Western derby. On MatchDays 2 and 19, FC Samartex and GoldStars FC will square off in another Western derby.

On MatchDays 11 and 28, Asante Kotoko SC and Nations FC will square off in the Ashanti derby.

The defending champions FC Samartex 1996 visits Accra Hearts of Oak; Asante Kotoko visits Vision FC; Dreams FC hosts Legon Cities; Nations FC plays Heart of Lions at home; Aduana Stars hosts Basake Holy Stars; Bechem United hosts Young Apostles; Karela United welcomes Nsoatreman FC; and in the season's last games, Medeama hosts Berekum Chelsea.

The first games will take place throughout the weekend of Friday, September 6, 2024, to Monday, September 9, 2024, at all nine Premier League locations, as previously scheduled.

There will be no official midweek matchday throughout the 34 weekends that make up the 2024–2025 season, which ends on Sunday, June 8, 2025. This strategy aims to reduce clubs' travel expenses.

To allow players and officials to visit the entire nation to fulfill their civic duty and cast their votes, the Premier League will have a one-week break before the December 7, 2024, National Elections.
