North Dayi:: Member of Parliament Donates To 36 Basic Schools
The Member of Parliament for North Dayi Constituency in the Volta Region Hon Jocelyn Tetteh have made a courtesy visit to 36 basic schools in the North Dayi enclave to interact with the pupils during their first day at school.
Hon Jocelyn Tetteh seized the advantage
to put smiles on the faces of the school children by giving them readable books, exercise books, pencils, erasers, wall charts and other educational logistics that will help improve teaching and learning in the schools.
Schools the North Dayi legislator visited includes Anfoega Wademaxe Roman Catholic Primary, Saint Peters and Paul Primary, Akukorme EP primary, Aveme Beme RC primary school among many other schools.
Over 3,000 pupils benefited from the donation and teachers who manage creche to primary one were also motivated with incentives.
Donating the Educational Logistics, the North Dayi Legislator, Hon Jocelyn Tetteh noted with great excitement that, meeting the school children to encourage and motivate them would go a long way to help them see the need to take education seriously.
She also advised teachers to see their profession as a calling and discharge their duties to its needed expectation because they are planting a good seed in the children which would yield them proper dividends on earth.
Hon Jocelyn Tetteh assured that, the exercise is something she started far back 2015 and she sees it driving to the future forever.
District Education Director for North Dayi , Madam Akatse Benedicta Abla, on behalf of the beneficiary schools articulated her profound gratitude to the legislator for her kind gesture .
She also appealed to her to frequently come to their aid and assist them in other educational projects that will help improve the quality of education in the district.
Some of the pupils shared their joy and thanked the MP and promised to put the items into profitable use.
