Former Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, says that former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration deserve credit for ‘solving’ the energy crisis, known in local parlance as ‘dumsor’.

According to him, the NDC administration was able to fix the power outage because they put in place plans that made them achieve the fastest mobilization of emergency power in the history of Ghana.

“NPP should stop taking credit as far as dumsor is concerned. Where were they when we were putting in place plans to make sure that this issue is fixed. What did the NPP do during their regime? They failed and we came to ensure that the problem is resolved drastically” he noted on Accra based Okay FM monitored by Adomonline.com.

But Mr. Armah Buah said the NPP has no hand in solving the power crisis, asserting that Ghana is enjoying stable power supply mainly because of the efficient power plants the NDC administration brought into the country.

To him, the NDC government came to the realization that dumsor was a financial problem and, therefore, mobilized enough resources to manage it.
