“When we started criticizing Akufo-Addo’s government, he told us that he will not respond to presidential aspirants. But now we can all witness that he is listening to us small, small.”
President Akufo-Addo while addressing the chiefs and people of Somanya on day one of his tour in the Eastern region, president Akufo Addo said the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is desperate to come back to power to “create, loot and share” and has resorted to propaganda and falsehood, adding that the biggest opposition party is doing so because it has realized it will spend a long time out of government.
According to President Akufo-Addo, NDC peddling falsehood about his government because these are people [NDC] are looking at a long period in opposition, explaining that the more desperate the NDC gets, the more fabrications they will put out.
Former President John Dramani Mahama speaking to the party delegates at Bekwai Constituency as part of his tour in the Ashanti Region said only God can decide the fate of the NDC in the coming general elections, not President Akufo-Addo.
According to Mahama, every sector of the economy is now suffering from the economic mismanagement of the government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by President Akufo-Addo.
Mr Mahama said the economic mismanagement of the Akufo-Addo administration has brought untold hardship on teachers, drivers, traders, farmers and public sector workers, among others.
“When we started criticizing Akufo-Addo’s government, he told us that he will not respond to presidential aspirants. But now we can all witness that he is listening to us small, small. I heard President Akufo Addo saying that NDC will rot in opposition. Only God can say that not Akufo-Addo. NDC will bounce back and take Ghanaians to the promise land” Mahama assured.
