After MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, alleged that investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas should be arrested for killing Ahmed, he is making more claims.
In an interview he granted Kofi TV, the seasoned politician from the ruling New Patriotic Party, was responding to a video that Anas had posted on his Facebook wall hours after Ahmed was murdered.
The video which captured Kennedy Agyapong calling for violent attacks on Ahmed somewhere in June 2018, had Ghanaians talking with a section implicating the ‘tough-talking’ legislator in the murder.
In the interview, the MP was heard saying in Twi “Anas’ behavior shows that he knows something about Ahmed’s murder”.
“He is not smarter than anyone because what he has done is very serious. All over the world people are calling me”, he added.
Kennedy Agyapong continued to debunk allegations that he was arrested by the police like many were saying.
The MP who was at the time of the interview traveling to China, called bluff those who were sending out rumors of his arrest.
The MP continued and said “An idiot like Anas!, People think if he puts out a story or slander someone, the police will just believe it”
“The police are sensible so they cannot just go and arrest someone because Anas had gone to say something or put out a video. When they came, I told them to watch the tape very well”, he added.
On Thursday, January 17, 2019, it was gathered that one of the lead investigators for Tiger Eye PI, Ahmed Hussein-Suale was shot and killed by two gunmen around 9pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in Madina, Accra.
Few hours after the incident, popular investigative journalist and CEO of Tiger Eye PI, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, posted a video involving MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong revealing the identity of Ahmed.
In the video, Mr. Agyapong was also heard calling for assault to be meted on Ahmed if he is found anywhere around his office premises.
