Ghanaian Highlife artiste, Joseph Nana Nkrumah Buabeng, popularly known as ‘Nero X’, has revealed that in the early stages of his career, he used to sell cassava in Takoradi, Western Region.
Speaking on Happy FM with DJ Advicer, host of the Ayekoo After Drive Show, the Takoradi based musician said “I used to sell cassava in Takoradi, that was my mum’s business so I used to help her, it wasn’t easy. People used to laugh at me.”
He continued to say; ” Some were pushing me to go to Accra but even the money for transportation hmmm.
I remember once we traveled to Kumasi to perform and we had no place to sleep so we finally had to join some remedial student we were studying to sleep in the class whiles they were learning,”
Nero X is currently promoting his new single dubbed ‘ Be Thankful’ which features the finest fante Rapper, Teephlow.
