Willi Roi’s funeral was held today but to the surprise of many, Shatta Wale wasn’t at the funeral grounds.
Radio Presenter, Arnold Mensa Alavanyo called Shatta Wale on phone to ask him on reasons why he couldn’t make it to the funeral.
The dancehall musician revealed that he was busy today, hence, preventing him from going to the final funeral rites.
He noted that today is 3Music Awards and he’s busy with rehearsals and many other routines so he couldn’t go to the funeral of a man who supported him so much while alive.
Shatta Wale however said via the phone interview that when he wins a top award, he’ll make sure to dedicate it to Willi Roi.
And that he’ll also do well to visit the family of the Late Artistes & Repertoire Manager at Zylofon Music.
He noted that he doesn’t care about what people would say about him because God knows his heart that he loves Willi Roi so much just that the work didn’t permit him to be at his funeral.
Shatta also added that if Willi Roi were alive, he’ll understand well for him because he understand how this work goes.
The Kakai hitmaker also gave an example of late Hiplife musician, Terry Bon Chaka. He said that the late musician helped him but he wasn’t at his funeral. But he makes sure that every year, he goes to his grave to pay his respect.
