Sister Derby known in real life as Deborah Vanessa has called on all Ghanaians to be patient with President Nana Akuffo Addo.
According to her, Nana Akuffo Addo inherited a mess from former President Mahama and as such cannot make all things smooth in the shortest possible time.
She told Ayeeko Ayeeko on Accra 100.5FM hosted by Nana Romeo on Wednesday, 21 March 2019 that:
“The truth is that you can’t expect the government to solve all the problems so soon, so, we have to give them [government] time . It’s not fair and also they came to meet issues, they are also humans like us, so, it is difficult. We just have to give them [government] time.”
She added that the hardship in the country has equally affected him most especially the depreciation of the Cedi.
“I am affected because recently we traveled to South Africa together, buying the dollar to go is a headache. I wanted to cry. It is very bad. I don’t know what’s happening. The cedi is in serious crisis. I read something on the internet that in the whole of Africa, the Ghana cedi is the weakest and this is not good for the Black Star of Africa, it’s sad,” she said.
Could this be a game prior to the 2020 General Elections? Ah well time will tell.
