Award-winning Hip-Life Musician, Nana Kwaku Okyere Duah popularly known as Tic and formerly Tic Tac has disclosed that he should have been nominated for VGMA Artist of the Year.
Speaking with Sky Fm in Sunyani, he said that he believes he should have received more nominations, especially the Artist of the Year.
“I should have been nominated for Artiste of the Year, Highlife song of the Year and Hiplife song of the Year and of course maybe best collaboration of the Year,” he said.
“Because if you are nominated for most popular song of the Year and the song is a Hiplife song or a Highlife song and it couldn’t make it in its own category then it baffles me as an artiste but it’s VGMAs.” – Tic added.
This year’s VGMA Nomination is clowned in a lot of controversies.
Many deserving artistes were not given the recognition by nominating their craft.
Many has alleged that their nomination this time round was based on favoritism and ‘who knows who’.
Tic had two monster hits during the year, ‘Pene ma Me’ with Kidi and ‘Kwani Kwani Part II’ with Kuami Eugene.
