The Municipal Chief Executive of Kwabre East Municipality, Honourable Nana Osei Assibey Bonsu has tasked the youth of Ghana to be tolerant and work in oness to build a better Ghana.
He made this statement when he was addressing Students, teachers, heads of departments,chiefs and people of Kwabre East Municipality at the 62nd independence Day celebration at mampongteng.
Hon. Osei Assibey Bonsu in his speech urged the youth to help sustain the peace the country has enjoyed since independence which is a major ingredient in the social, economic, cultural and political development of the country.
He advised politicians, radio presenters, party communicators to desist from politics of insult which is a major tool for conflicts in Africa.
“We must all resolve not to allow conflict to retard development in our communities, since huge sums of resources and productive time and effort are wasted on the management of conflicts” He added.
The Municipal Chief Executive disclosed that the Assembly is doing everything within their power to improve the quality of education in the municipality because the overall District performance of 54% they chalked in the 2018 BECE is not encouraging.
He said the Assembly have provided basic schools in the municipality with 400 mono desks, 700 dual desks and 30 teachers which he believes will give teachers table and students the comfort to teach and learn respectively.

He advised students to learn hard and chalk good results so that they can also enjoy the free senior high school program that the Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo led government have established.
