Bosomtwe District Assembly Acquires Mini Bus for Revenue Mobilization

The Bosomtwe District Assembly has procured a new 15 seater Toyota HiAce Vehicle to facilitate its revenue generation activitires in the District.

The bus which costs the Assembly 230,000 cedis was purchased through the assembly’s internally generated funds (IGF) to enhance revenue mobilization.

At a brief ceremony to inaugurate the bus the District Assembly’s conference at Kokoado, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, commended the Bosomtwe District Assembly for raising funds to procure the bus.

He said, with the procurement of the new vehicle to move about, the assembly stand a chance to increase its IGF which is very crucial to the development of the area.

The District Chief Executive, Lawyer Joseph Kwasi Asuming said the mini bus would also enable the staff of the works department to move round the District to inspect assembly’s projects being undertaken by various contractors as well as check unauthorized projects and prosecute perpetrators.

Lawyer Asuming, who is a former Ghana Revenue Authority Chief Revenue Officer asked taxpayers to honor their civic responsibilities by paying their local taxes to the Assembly voluntarily to enhance development at the local level.
