Madagascar’s national football team, Barea, have cancelled their football match with South Africa National team, Bafana Bafana, in protest of the recent xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other Africans residing in the country. Bafana Bafana announced this on its verified Twitter handle.
The notice reads:
“Breaking News: SAFA regrets to inform the public that the match between Bafana Bafana and Madagascar scheduled for this coming Saturday (7 September) has been called off after the visitors (Madagascar) decided to withdraw from the encounter.”
Recall that the Zambian National team also withdrew from an earlier scheduled match against the Bafana Bafana.
Meanwhile, South African music have been also banned in Zambia.
