Delegates in the Ajumako-Eyan- Essiam of the Central Region have grabbed cars from one of the parliamentary aspirants in the ongoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries in orphan constituencies in the country.
An aspiring candidate for area, Elisha Debrah Odoom who got social media talking after images of the cars were towed to the constituency, is reported to have shared 11 saloon cars to the party on Election Day.
Mr. Debrah Odoom who is contesting with three others including the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Ransford Kwesi Nyarko is reported to have parked the vehicles branded with his posters at the venue for the primarie.
In all a total of 14 aspirants are contesting the NPP orphan constituencies in the Central Region with the aim to book a ticket for the party ahead of the 2020 polls
In view of this the party opened nominations in the four constituencies that the party does not have sitting MP in the region including Ajumako Eyan Essiam, Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem(KEEA), Agona East and Cape Coast South.
The Ajumako Essiam is being held by New Democracy Congress’ (NDC’s), Cassiel Ato Baah Forson who recently the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) dared snatch it if they got what it takes to do so.
“My colleague NPP MP who was part of the Nana Addo’s three-day tour in the Central Region told me that, due to my massive development projects in my constituency, chiefs in the area requested for few projects from the president unlike other constituencies where chiefs listed so many projects” Ato Forson bragged recently.
