Demonizing sex in Ghana cause of numerous rape cases – Lydia Forson

Actress Lydia Forson is confused as to why sex is demonized in Ghana blaming that to the numerous rape cases in Ghana.

According to her, even in marriages where sex is supposed to be permitted, it is been seen in a bad light.

The actress made this known on Twitter amidst the various argument on government’s intention to introduce Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in the various basic schools in the country.

She said ” Why is something so pleasurable and God given, so demonized by our society. Even in marriages where it’s supposed to be “permitted”, it’s still discussed with so much shame”.

She added that because of the lack of sex education from childhood, several women have been raped which should not have been the case.

“If you don’t teach your children about sex, someone else will and that someone will be that uncle, auntie, doctor, teacher. And history has taught us that for a lot of children these people teach them through rape.”
