Quit abusive relationships – Counsellor Charlotte to young ladies

Controversial Counsellor, Dr Charlotte Oduro has advised colleague counsellors to desist from seeking to please young ladies about their unhealthy and abusive relationships by pretending that those relationships will work.

In her opinion it is time to be blunt with young ladies suffering abuse in love relationships but reluctant to leave.

‘It’s not time to pamper again. It’s time to tell them the way it is! We have pampered them for long. Tell that young lady: “the guy is misusing her, leave him,”‘ she thundered in a programme dubbed “Love Clinic” held earlier this month covered by TheNewsGh.com.

She emphasized that young ladies often visit counsellors with issues of abusive relationships but would want to be assured that the unhealthy relationships will still work even if the counsellor upon professionally reflecting on the relationships know they are bound to fail.

‘And when they come, they want us to say: “oh! It will be okay” but no it won’t be okay because the “infection” I am seeing if I don’t treat it hard, it will bring trouble,”‘ she argued.

Dr Charlotte Oduro has become well-known for her frank but controversial pronouncements on relationships in the media.

The “Love Clinic” was organized to basically equip both married and unmarried persons to have healthier and satisfying relationships the godly way.

Several speakers at the programme urged couples to make God the Foundation of their relationships and seek help from only qualified persons when they have issues in their relationships.
