A popular young businessman in Bole, Haruna Konoduah ( alias Kiss Man), has been left battling for his life after armed robbers attacked him while with his wife and made away with valuables including cash on Wednesday.
The couple had closed for the day, and were heading home when the masked gun-wielding robbers struck.
A report carried by Bole-Based Nkiligi Fm indicate that the bandits seized their bags and phones and demanded money when they realised the bags contained no money. The enraged robbers then shot Kiss Man in the arm when he said they had no money on them.
They bolted with their loot after the shooting attracted attention of residents in the area who thought it as related to the recurring chieftaincy disturbances.
His wife, a mobile money operator, was however lucky enough to be spared the gunshots.
The traumatized wife and her bleeding husband were immediately rushed to the Bole Government hospital, where Kiss Man is responding favourably to treatment, sources at the hospital reveal.
Mr Konoduah, who owns a much-patronized printing press in the Bole township among other businesses, is deemed a wealthy man in the town
His wife is also a successful mobile money merchant which made them target of the robbers.
