There’s a popular saying that “the charcoal seller’s son will one day wear a white shirt”.

This is the perfect case of Mrs. Melody Kukua Adjei who’s a Blogger and a Radio/TV personality.

According to her, she used to be a Kayayo woman. “Kayayo means ‘girl-carrier’ in the Ga language. They’re girls who help people with loads in major cities especially Accra.

They live at the mercy of the weather on the streets hustling for survival and frankly speaking, they’re generally poor living from ‘hand to mouth’.

These kinds of harsh conditions didn’t stop Mrs. Melody Kukua Adjei from fulfilling her dreams as she has successfully graduated from African University College of Communications.

Sharing her testimony via Instagram, she wrote:

I nearly deferred, yes because it was tough! But I kept on fighting and Yes, I made it 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽. From KAYAYO to Sokoohemaa Kukua. Through out my education I’ve never been the best but I’m always among the best after school, I think it’s a calling innit???😂😂😂😂😂

I’m an example to many young ladies, it doesn’t matter where you’re coming from you can achieve it. I’m here because God made a way🙏🏻 Today I graduated successfully from AUCC, glory be to God. Thanks to all who supported me from Day 1 till today especially my husband Mr Adjei😍😍😍 Congratulations to me”
