Ekow Morrison Bow Out Of Ekumfi Parliamentary Primaries

Mr. Benjamin Ekow Eshun Mensah Morrison, Aviation and Tourism Consultant by profession and also President of Ekumfi Ambassadors Youth recently has stepped down for the incumbent MP to go unopposed.

This decision came up after dialogue and consultations between some influential chiefs, religious authorities, opinions leaders and party faithful.

Ekow Morrison, an experienced politician since 2002 till date stands tall among any other candidates in Ekumfi who in diverse ways has contributed to the success of Ekumfi prior to elections 2016.

He was the mastermind behind those NDC folks who defected to NPP and also social unifier which cuts across both political divide.

He is affectionately called “HOME BOY’ because he hail from Narkwa which is the largest populated community comprising of 8 polling stations.

His father is from Ekumfi Akotsi and mother from Ekumfi Narkwa and a royal of Asona Lineage.

Ekow Morrison played a very significant role in the 2016 election in Ekumfi Greater Accra, Ada, Volta and Cape Coast.

He supported in logistics, door to door campaign, organized Keep Fits Fun Clubs for votes and adopted all the 83 polling stations in Ekumfi.

He has associate foundation known as EKOW MORRISON FOUNDATION, being the only sole financier for the constituent, his foundation has sponsored brilliant students who are orphans or from poor homes throughout their education as well as widows and less privilege peoples within the districts.

Ekow Morrison has used his position and agency to acquire employments for majority of people in areas such as the security services, public services and private sectors.

He is a unifier leader and poise to bring massive developments to Ekumfi district since he has links with investors, businessmen’s, entrepreneurs, Chief Executive Officers from home and abroad.

He promised that, after the party primaries, he will join the incumbent MP who doubles as deputy minister for fisheries and aquaculture, Hon. Francis Kingsley Attoh Cudjoe to launch campaign dubbed “Operation 2000” which consists of winning higher margin this time around because it was no go area for NPP for the past 24years. NPP has only won by 608 votes for the first time in history representing 12,240( 50.7%) as against NDC votes 11,632( 47.58%).

He pledges his commitment and support whenever the needs arise to supports the party to consolidate more votes and also calling for unity among the party’s faithful, constituency executives and polling stations executives because the NDC former MPs, Hon. Comfort Owusu, Hon.George Kuntu Blankson and immediate past MP Hon. Abeiku Crentil has all united to retain the seat back to NDC.

“We can’t just allow disunity to make us loose our seat, No way ,we have being orphan for 24years and this time around we also taken total control of 30years and above” He said.

Mr. Ekow Morrison applaud the president of Ghana, his excellency Nana Akuffo Addo for establishing pineapple factory which is now known as Eku Juice and West Africa’s biggest chalks factory managed by the physically challenged and yet to be opened by the president.

Before his resignation, he thanked the District Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Bright Grant for promoting and facilitating government projects and policies, and also the party chairman Mr Mubarak Quansah for maintaining the zeal among the party members.
