Cameroon and Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana has delivered his signed jersey and gloves to imprisoned Ghanaian goalkeeper Arhim Aboagye.
This is in fulfillment of a promise he made after learning of the plight of the embattled goalie who is serving time at a Nsawam prison in a documentary by Tv3’s Juliet Bawuah titled “Football Behind Bars.”
This gesture is the latest of the several life-changing opportunities Aboagye has had since the airing of the video.
Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics have also offered to hand him trials with the intension to sign him permanently.
The talented shot stopper has three more years to serve at Ghana’s medium-security prison, having already served six years and some months.
Got to the office to this package. @AndreyOnana has delivered on his promise to Arhin Aboagye, goalkeeper from our story on football and reformation at the Nsawam Prison.
Thanks to all who made this possible. Grateful.
