National Organiser for New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku has dared the opposition party ‘National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) to boycott the Electoral Commission’s (EC) upcoming voter registration exercise if they are to be taken seriously.
He said, he will demonstrate a principled position since they claim it is a ‘useless and wasteful venture.’
Putting his position as a national organiser of the governing party on the line, Sammi Awuku stated that he is ever ready to resign and cross carpet to the NDC.
He continued that,
“If it’s a matter of principle and they(NDC) think that, they still stand by their position for which reason they won’t take part in the registration exercise, why not; that will be a principled position and I am sure that, that will me make fall in love more with the NDC.”
“If NDC can do it; to say we don’t like it and no matter what, we are not going to do it, don’t be surprised that as a national organiser, I will resign and join them. He said it on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ show Friday.
Sammi Awuku advised that the NDC will do themselves a lot of good if they begin to mobilize their supporters
