The Police Administration says it has started an investigation into a video circulating on social media in which a Policeman is seen slapping a woman.
There is a video currently circulating on social media in which a Policeman is seen slapping a middle-aged woman.
According to an eyewitness, the incident happened at Ofankor Asorfa Government school Registration Centre when the middle-aged woman brought her under-aged child to register. However, the Policeman decided to deny them entry to the registration centre.
The woman incensed by the decision taken by the Policeman rained insults at him but that got the Policeman infuriated and he was heard saying “If you want to show that you are a boss I will also show you that I am a boss… If you will display arrogance, I will not let you in here”.
The Police although was restrained by some men at the centre but went ahead to to hit the woman.
The video has been met with outrage from the general public because to most people, nothing should cause a man to slap a woman no matter the level of provocation and especially an officer of the law is expected to be aware of it.
