It could be recalled that, Ghanaian journalist and the editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako earlier filed a defamation suit against Honorable Kennedy Agyapong and was awarded a sum total of GHC 130,000.
In addition, the court ruled that the Lawmaker should apologize to Mr. Baako three times within a period of three months on all the platforms he ever used to defame the journalist.
According to documents posted by Anas Coalition, a page believed to be associated with investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, the law maker filed an application for the court to prevent Mr. Baako from demanding such amount as compensation.
However, the court has dismissed the application and insisted that the businessman proceeds with demands of the earlier ruling by paying the stated amount and apologizing accordingly. view documents below:
