So many issues and concerns have been raised from all angles across the country with regard to how nabco trainees can acquire permanent employment. Some elongated the issue based on the fact that, in 2016, NPP government led by H E Nana Addo Danquah through their manifesto promised to give unemployed graduates piled by John Dramani Mahama who took the whole country to IMF that affected recruitment in NDC’s regime, “jobs”, when voted for them to ascertain power. Some also said even in 2016, there was nothing like Nabco in NPP’s manifesto, but they were able to implement Nabco as a policy to relieve unemployed graduate from their plight and headache. A section of trainees also lamented on the fact that, permanent employment was not captured in the recent NPP’s manifesto launched which took place in Cape coast just last Saturday 22nd August 2020. And it has resulted in so many wranglings and desperation as far as Nabco is concern.
Foremost, we want to use this forum to congratulate the NPP government for their successful launching of their manifesto and as well acknowledged them for the effective implementation of Nabco program. In fact, graduates of this country appreciate it so much with the greatest joy. Pressing on the issue of employment in retrospective from previous administration, when graduates did not have any hope concerning how to even acquire job left alone making decision by him/herself for the future. But one can attest to the fact that, even if NPP government hasn’t done anything at all, at least we have hope today and requesting for more. The truth must be told! And one can acknowledge the possibilities of the NPP government, and as well know that, NPP government led by H E Nana Addo Danquah have performed, and can perform better than the previous government. If and only if we stay focus to reconsider their achievement.
Another school thought would say, it takes only the initiator of the program who realized the plague graduates of this country were passing through, and he alone can foretell the future of the program, and we are all aware that he is a listening father(government). One would say, what if we don’t force the government for him to place all the trainees permanently because after this election our quest for permanency would be swept under the carpet, per what they have witnessed in an administration where all the country was brought into disarray. But we should as well remember this adage that” We don’t bite the hand that feeds you.” We only need to cohesively and compatibility reconsider the government thereby, giving it another four(4) years to well-developed the Nabco program for our predecessors.
In furtherance, assertion some colleagues also raised concerning permanent employment was that, should in case, the three-year contract elapses and the government refuses to mechanise them into the mainstream would be a reproach. All these are circulating in the minds of the trainees, but we want to state emphatically that, those claims are made to channel our attention for us not to embrace the good work of the government and also to defame it policies into antipathy.
Comparatively, matching NPP and NDC’s achievement regarding job creation, we realized NPP is far better than the previous government for employing 100,000 graduates at once, and deserves commendation. So, we concern Nabco trainees want to assure the NPP government That, we shall at any point in time join, its campaign team for the incumbent government to retain its seat to continue with his good policies for the benefit of the entire country.
Lastly, we are using this medium to inform or appeal to our colleagues irrespective of your political affiliation or who have misconception about NPP government through partisan stance to join the train for us to campaign massively for the great party to do more for us and posterity as a whole.
