The project which comes with floodlights, drains and inner perimeter fence is expected to be completed before December to use for their Christmas Gala.
At a colourful but short ceremony last Tuesday, Hon. Oteng Mensah expressed optimism that the astroturf would facilitate the development of more football talents for the country.
She seized the opportunity to appeal to residents to give their full support to the project and also maintain it since it was for their own benefit and that of generations yet to come. “There would be a committee set up to managed the project after completion” she added.
The member of parliament, Hon Francisca Oteng Mensah also the opportunity to spelled out some infrastructure development projects she has brought to her constituency since 2017 to date, i.e
- Construction of classroom blocks for JHS
- Boys and Girls dormitory and classroom blocks for SHS
- Scholarships for brilliant but needy
- Furniture to both JHS and SHS
- Educational materials
- Teacher’s Bungalow at Amanpe
- Supply of computer to the JHS, among others.
- Mamponteng town roads
- Sakora Wonoo town roads
- Asonomaso- Wonoo road
- Safo – Kasaam road
- Fawoade – Adwumam – Kenyasi road
- Fawoade – Bampenase road
- Aboaso – Ankaase road
- Antoa roads
- Reshaping of various roads, among others
She added that for the first time in the history of the constituency, more than 12 roads are under construction and others completed.
- Doctor’s Bungalow at Asonomaso Government hospital
- Construction of 40 bed ward at Aboaso Health center
- Presentation of Medical Consumable Drugs to all Hospitals in the constituency
- Donation of PPEs to all Private and Government health care in the constituency, among others.
Other Areas she has been of help to others are Youth and Sports, Water and Sanitation, Social interventions, Traveling support, Party Office, among others.
Nana Yeboah Asiamah the Chief of Ahwiaa Traditional area lauded the initiative and said he was hopeful the artificial turf when built would serve the teeming youth in the area.
He expressed gratitude to the MP for the initiative and said he was of the hope that the project would be completed as soon as possible.
He also expressed satisfaction to the President of the republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the bold measures his Government has put in place to deal with the threat of the novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and also the SHS given to Ghanaians.
Nana Yeboah Asiamah made a humble appeal to the MCE, Hon Nana Osei Asibey, MP, Hon Francisca Oteng Mensah and the President of the republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the roads linking to Kwabre East Constituency to be constructed.
The MCE, Nana Osei Asibey Bonsu expressed his appreciation to Nananom, the party members and their executives and the people of Kwabre East Constituency for their support throughout the four years of office.
He said, they should continue to give their support to them and massively vote for NPP government to turn things around. He added that, last 4 years MP and President Akufo-Addo had over 71,000 votes and this year they are looking for over 100,000 votes for MP and over 100,000 votes for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo come December 7.
The Member of Parliament, The MCE, Nananom, among others from the sod cutting ceremony for the Astro-Turf at Ahwiaa, went to commissioned a mechanized borehole at Ahwiaa craft center.

A short ceremony was conducted to welcome Nananom, MP, MCE, Party Chairman, PM, Party Secretary, women’s organizer among others who graced the occasion.
Nana Wadie Assim II, welcome the dignitaries and expressed his interest, appreciation and gratitude toward the market project to his community and “Oliver Twist” always asked for more.
Both contractors assured the chiefs and people of Kwabre a good work and therefore needed thier co-operation.
They promised that they will work assiduously to complete the work within the time frame given to complete the projects.
