The Tafo Area Church of Pentecost (COP) has launched what’s is called “Agent of Peace Campaign” ahead of the impending Ghana’s general elections.
The peace campaign is aimed at preaching to safeguarding peace among Ghanaians and all political parties in the country.
The event was officially launched on Saturday October 2, 2020 on the theme: seek peace and pursue it” at Sepe-Buokrom Central Assembly’s Auditorium.
Speaking at the event the Ashanti Regional Secretary and Vice Chairman for Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Apostle Bright Sosu stated that there’s the need for Christians to preach or promote peace in their various communities in this period of elections.
He said the peace of Ghana should be a major priority of every Christian and Ghanaians in general.
“As Christians whatever we say whatever we do we must promote peace, the peace of our beloved country Ghana.
The COP Tafo Area Head, Apostle Samuel Antwi said it is the responsibility of all Christians to demonstrate a habit of peace in order for the nation to be free from conflicts so as to bring sustainable development in the country.

The NDC Parliamentary for Manhyia North Constituency Mr Hamza Swallah at the launch commended COP for the good initiative.
He advised that all people should refrain from indecent habits that could trigger Political violence as the country looks forward to its general elections on December 7,2020.
“Election is not about violence it’s about policies and ideas…. When there’s no peace there will be no prosperity and achievement in life nor development, therefore we must all live in peace”, Hamza stated.
