Reopening of schools: Kwabre East Municipal Chief Executive (M.C.E) visits schools in his jurisdiction.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwabre East, Hon. Nana Osei Asibey Bonsu, has visited some schools in the municipality as part of his schedules.

The visit was to welcome the pupils to KG 1&2 and class one (1) which is normally known as “my first day at school”.

He visited some schools like; Asonomaso Presby School, Adanwomase R/C school, Amanpe-Bamang R/C schools and Steps to Christ school.

As part of making the students feel at home, the M.C.E distributed items like fruit juices, biscuits and toffees to them.

In an interview with Sofoba Kwame Afrifah of Agyenkwa Fm, he expressed excitement about the use of PPEs in the schools which according to him will help prevent our children from the covid-19 pandemic and also the attendance of the teachers.

He therefore added that he does not side with those calling upon the president to temporarily close down KG 1&2 and reopen them after the pandemic has totally declined.

The Deputy Municipal Finance and Administration Director in the Education department Mrs. Maybel Owusu, also expressed happiness about return of the students and entreated the teachers and parents to teach the children very well about the pandemic.
